Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. mixed pickling spices
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 to 8 eggs, hard-cooked

Directions

    Simmer all ingredients, except eggs, uncovered for ten minutes.

    Peel hard-cooked eggs and put them in a one-quart glass jar, loosely, so that the pickling solution can circulate freely. Pour hot mixture over eggs, seal and refrigerate.

    The pickling process takes several days.
