- 2 1/2 lb. green beans
- 2 large onions, sliced thin (2 c.)
- 2 c. sliced celery
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 4 tsp. pickling salt
- 2 tsp. turmeric
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Wash beans; cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces.

2Cook beans, onion and celery in boiling water 10 minutes or until tender.

3Drain well. Combine sugar, mustard seed, salt, turmeric, vinegar and water in large saucepan.

4Bring to boil.

5Add vegetables; simmer 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

6Cool well and refrigerate.
