- 8 c. green tomatoes or squash, thinly sliced
- 2 c. onions, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. green peppers, diced
- 1 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- dash of turmeric (optional)
Directions

1Combine tomatoes, onions and salt in large bowl.

2Let stand for 1 hour.

3Combine green pepper, vinegar, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed in a large pan and bring to boil.

4Add tomatoes and onions and bring to boil again.

5Pack pickles into hot jars; cover with boiling vinegar mixture.

6Place hot lids on jars immediately. Makes 3 pints.
