  • 2 lb. okra
  • 5 pods hot pepper
  • 5 garlic cloves or 1 1/2 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 c. sugar

Directions

    Pack washed okra in sterilized jars.

    Boil all ingredients together.

    Pour over okra and seal.

    Cook in hot water bath no longer than 10 minutes.

    Do not boil hot pepper; place in jars along with okra, being sure one pod is in each jar.
