  • 3 1/2 lb. small okra pods
  • garlic buds
  • 1 pt. white vinegar
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1/3 c. salt
  • 3 small hot peppers
  • 2 tsp. dill seed

Directions

    Pack okra firmly in hot sterilized jars.

    Put a garlic bud in each jar.

    Meanwhile, combine vinegar, water, salt, peppers and dill seed and bring to a boil.

    Pour the boiling brine into jars over okra.

    Adjust caps and seal.

    Yields 4 to 5 pints.
