  • 8 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. alum
  • 3/4 c. salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • green hot pepper

Directions

    Place okra, stem side up, in jars.

    Place garlic and pepper on top of okra.

    Bring alum, vinegar and salt to a boil.

    Pour over okra and seal.
  5. 5
    Don't open this up until 8 weeks have gone by.
