Pickled Onions

  • 1 cup White Or Vidalia Onion, Chopped Roughly
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon White Sugar
  • 1 cup White Vinegar

Directions

    Step 1: Place your roughly chopped onions in a large Mason jar. Add the salt, pepper and sugar. Pour in the vinegar, adding more if needed so the onions are covered. Shake contents together.

    Step 2: Let the onions sit for at least 1 hour before using. Can be made early in the day and left to sit until supper time.

    Since these onions are not technically 'pickled' like other onions, they must be thrown out 4-5 days after making them.
