- 1 pt. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 7 lb. firm, ripe peaches, peeled
- 2 Tbsp. whole cloves
- 1 Tbsp. mixed spices
Directions

1Put vinegar and sugar on stove and let them come to a boil. Then scald the peaches in this solution.

2The peaches should stay in long enough to get hot through and through and until they can be pricked with a fork, but should not be allowed to shrivel.

3Place in sterilized fruit jars and seal.
