  • green peppers or red pepper
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 4 cups vinegar
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 cups white sugar

Directions

    Wash peppers.

    Take seeds out and cut into strips.

    Boil in water for 5 minutes.

    Drain and pack into quart jars.

    To the top of each quart add salt and oil.

    Bring vinegar, water and sugar to boil.

    Pour this hot liquid over peppers in jars and seal.
