- 6 cups water
- 2 lbs shrimp
- 1 onion, sliced into rings
- 2 14 ounces capers, drained
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 34 cup water
- 14 cup lemon juice
- 2 12 teaspoons celery seeds
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 14 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
Directions

1Boil Shrimp.

2Drain well and rinse in cold water, and peel and de-vein.

3Place 1/2 shrimp in large bowl.

4Cover with 1/2 the onion rings, and 1/2 the capers.

5Repeat layering of shrimp, onion, and capers.

6Top with bay leaves.

7Combine all other ingredients, using a whisk to incorporate.

8Pour marinade over shrimp.

9Cover tightly, and chill for at least 8 hours.

10To serve, drain well and remove bay leaves.
