- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/8 tsp. turmeric (saffron)
- 1/2 Tbsp. mustard
- 1 c. sugar

1Let vegetables stand in weak brine (1/4 cup salt to 1 quart water) to cover, overnight.

3Heat remaining ingredients to boiling point.

4Add vegetables and bring slowly back to boil. Remove from stove and seal in sterilized jars.
