- green tomatoes, cut crosswise in fourths
- cauliflower, cut in small portions
- cabbage, cut in wedges
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. mustard seed
- 2 gloves garlic
- hot peppers (optional)
- vinegar
- water
Directions

1Fill sterilized jars with any of the listed vegetables or a combination of any.

2Add the salt, mustard seed and garlic.

3If you like them hot, add 1 hot pepper to each quart.

4Fill jars half full of vinegar.

5Add water to cover vegetables.

6Seal jars; shake to mix.

7Store in cool place.

8Will be ready in 2 weeks.
