- 1 3/4 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1With fork, mix first 4 ingredients.

2In a separate bowl, beat remaining ingredients.

3Combine the two mixtures, stirring with fork until moistened.

4Mold dough into 5 balls.

5Chill for 15 minutes before rolling.

6Can leave balls in refrigerator for 3 days or freeze.

7Makes five 9-inch pie shells.
