  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening, chilled
  • 1/4 c. unsalted butter, chilled in bits
  • 5 to 6 Tbsp. ice water

Directions

    Combine flour and salt.

    Cut in shortening and butter.

    Add water, sprinkling 1 tablespoon at a time, until pastry holds together to form a dough.
