- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 tablespoons cold water approximately
Directions

1Mix flour and salt thoroughly.

2Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Add a little water at a time, blending lightly.

4Dough should be just moist enough to cling together when pressed.

5Shape dough into ball.

6Roll out on a lightly floured surface or between two sheets of waxed paper.

7Place in pie pan.

10Add filling.

11For a baked pie shell, prick bottom and sides with fork.

12Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
