- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 egg and 1 yolk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
Directions

1Mix baking powder, salt and 1 cup flour.

2Lightly beat egg and egg yolk.

3Add sour cream and mix.

4Add flour, a little at a time using the mixed flour first.

5Add enough so dough can be rolled out.

6Be sure it is soft and not too stiff.

7Cut with large round cookie cutter.

8Add filling of your choice and pinch together at seams.

9Drop in boiling water.
-
10If freezing, remove and drain as soon as the pierogi rises to the top.

11If serving, cook 1 to 2 minutes longer.

12Top with melted butter, sour cream and/or chopped onions and serve.
