Pineapple-Apple Dessert

- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice
- 2/3 c. white sugar
- 1/3 c. plain flour
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 4 medium Delicious apples
- 8 oz. Cool Whip
- chopped pecans
Directions

1Cook pineapple with juice, sugar, flour and oleo over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick (about 5 minutes).

2Set aside to cool.

3Peel and chop apples finely and add to cooked pineapple mixture.

4Mix well.

5Pour into ungreased 9 x 13-inch or similar size dish.

6Cover with Cool Whip.

7Top with chopped nuts. Refrigerate a couple hours or overnight.

8If you want more color in dessert, don't peel apples.

9Serves 8 to 12.
