- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. pineapple preserves
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 to 1 c. Angel Flake coconut (optional)
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs one at a time beating after each.

3Add preserves and vanilla.

4Add dry and wet ingredients alternately beginning and ending with flour.

5Mix just enough to wet all of flour.

6Do not overbeat.

7Pour in well greased and well floured tube pan.

8Bake at 325° about 1 1/2 hours. Cool on rack 15 minutes.

9Remove from pan and wrap in foil to keep moist.
