  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained (in juice)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 12 cup margarine or 12 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 cup chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix flour and soda together.

    Put pineapple and sugar and salt in separate bowl and mix together.

    Gradually add flour mixture to pineapple mixture blending well after each addition.

    Add nuts.

    Pour into 9x13-inch cake pan,and bake at 350F for 40 minutes.

    Mix all topping ingredients and spread over warm cake.
