- 2 1/4 c. cake flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. oil
- 5 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. pineapple juice
- 1 c. egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients into small bowl.

2Make well in center.

3In this order, add oil, egg yolks and pineapple juice.

4Beat until satin smooth.

5In large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff.

6Pour egg yolk batter over egg whites, folding gently.

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

8Frost with Fake Whip Cream Frosting with drained crushed pineapple added.

9Cake may be split for frosting in center.
