  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream together the shortening and sugars.

    Add and beat well the egg.

    Add salt.

    Mix together the pineapple and baking soda; add to first mixture.

    Fold in flour, chopped nuts and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.

    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
