- 1 c. shortening (Crisco)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 9 oz. crushed pineapple
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix shortening, sugar and egg.

2Stir in pineapple; add flour gradually and stir in nutmeg.

3After mixing well, add nuts.

4Chill 1 hour or overnight.

5Keep covered in refrigerator.

6Drop by spoonfuls and bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.

7You can keep these for 2 or 3 days and bake as you want.

8This is a good cookie that isn't so sweet.
