Pineapple Cookies

  • 1 c. shortening (Crisco)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 9 oz. crushed pineapple
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix shortening, sugar and egg.

    Stir in pineapple; add flour gradually and stir in nutmeg.

    After mixing well, add nuts.

    Chill 1 hour or overnight.

    Keep covered in refrigerator.

    Drop by spoonfuls and bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.

    You can keep these for 2 or 3 days and bake as you want.

    This is a good cookie that isn't so sweet.
