  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 4 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Cream the sugars and shortening together and add eggs and well drained pineapple (saving the juice). Sift dry ingredients together and add, mixing well.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet.

    Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until light brown.

    After removing from oven, spread lightly with a thin icing made from the reserved pineapple juice and confectioners sugar.

    Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
