Pineapple Date Bread

- 3 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. milk
- 9 oz. (1 c.) can undrained crushed pineapple
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1/3 c. salad oil
Directions

1Beat egg slightly; add milk, dates, pineapple and salad oil. Stir.

2Add flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

3Stir just to moisten, do not beat.

4Pour into greased 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pan.

5Bake at 350° about 1 hour.

6Cool 5 minutes.

7Remove from pan and cool on rack.

8Wrap in wax paper and keep overnight before slicing.
