  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 2 pkg. dessert topping mix or 1 large Cool Whip
  • 1 small jar maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Prepare cake mix according to directions on package.

    Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan at 350°.

    Cool cake.

    Cook pudding according to package until thickened.

    Cut cream cheese into hot pudding; mix until well blended.

    Add well drained pineapple; spread over cake.

    Cool thoroughly.
