Pineapple Dream Cake

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 (8 1/4 oz.) cans crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 small boxes vanilla pudding
  • 2 envelopes Dream Whip
  • chopped walnuts

    Prepare vanilla pudding and cool thoroughly.

    Sift flour, sugar and salt together.

    Cut in margarine and egg yolk with pastry blender until well mixed.

    Firmly press mixture onto a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

    Cool completely.

    Mix cooled vanilla pudding with drained crushed pineapple and spread over baked crust.

    Prepare Dream Whip according to directions on package and spread over pudding mixture.

    Sprinkle with nuts.
