- 1 (8 3/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple or 1 c., drained (keep juice)
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Use mixer on medium speed to mix Crisco and brown sugar.

2Add egg and vanilla.

3Continue to mix until well blended.

4Add drained pineapple to mixture; then add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

5Bake 8 to 9 minutes at 400° on lightly greased cookie sheets.

6While cookies are warm, glaze with confectioners sugar and pineapple juice, mixed together to make thin glaze.

7Makes approximately four dozen.
