  • 1 pound cake box mix
  • 1 whole crushed pineapple with juice or 3 20 oz cans of crushed pineapple without juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk instant
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder green
  • 1/3 cup almonds chopped
  • 2 tablespoons white poppy seeds

Directions

    Bake a pound cake according to the box's directions. When the cake has cooled, remove all the browned edges and surfaces on the cake. Crumble the cake innards in a bowl.

    Cook the pineapple on high heat in butter for 5 minutes until soft (but not completely dry). Lower the heat and then mix in the crumbled cake until it's a mashed potato consistency.

    Stir in the carnation milk and cook on medium heat for 2 minutes. Mix in cardamom powder and almonds. Turn off the stove, and then add the poppy seeds.
