  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour, sifted 3 times and then measured
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 8 large eggs

    Cream Crisco and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add flour and pineapple alternately.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
