Pineapple Pound Cake

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c. pineapple juice or crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 4 c. sifted cake flour or Red Band or White Lily
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon

    Cream shortening.

    Add sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.

    Beat well.

    Sift dry ingredients three times.

    Add this and pineapple or juice alternately.

    Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
