Pineapple Pound Cake

- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. margarine
- 6 large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream the shortening, margarine and sugar until fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

3Add dry ingredients, one tablespoon at a time, alternating with milk. Add vanilla and fold in pineapple.

4Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Put into a cold oven. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Cool cake for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Frost with Pineapple Icing.
