- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. crushed pineapple and juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites, beaten
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp. hot water
Directions

1Combine sugar, oil and egg yolks.

2Sift flour, then measure. Add dry ingredients together, then add to oil mixture.

3Add hot water, pineapple juice and nuts.

4Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

5Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°, until cake tests done.

6A tube or Bundt pan is suggested.
