- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
- 2 3/4 c. plain all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 box confectioners sugar
- 3/4 c. crushed pineapple with juice
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Have ingredients at room temperature.

2Cream shortening, butter and sugar; add eggs, 1 at a time.

3Beat thoroughly.

4Add flour alternately with milk.

5Add pineapple and vanilla. Beat 4 minutes by clock. Pour into large tube pan (greased and floured). Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Do not preheat oven.

6Place cake in cold oven.
