- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. undrained crushed pineapple
Directions

1Cream shortening, butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time and beat well.

2Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Add vanilla and pineapple; blend well.

3Place in cold oven. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

4Let stand a few minutes before removing cake from pan.
