- 1 can (1 lb. 13 oz.) pineapple slices (about eight slices)
- 1 egg
- 5 slices of zwieback or bread crumbs (1 c. crumbs)
Directions

1Drain the pineapple slices, and beat egg slightly; crush the zwieback or bread to make 1 cup crumbs.

2Dip pineapple slices first in egg, then in crumbs.

3Fry in melted butter or margarine until crisp and golden on both sides.

4Serve hot.
