Pineapple Saffron Martini

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. premium vodka
  • 2 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. saffron syrup (see below)
  • 3/4 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 dash dandelion bitters
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/16 tsp. saffron threads

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.

    Top with ice and shake vigorously.

    Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

    Garnish with a few saffron threads.

    Saffron syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.

    Heat over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

    Add about saffron threads.

    Continue heating for about 5 minutes.

    Take off heat and let cool.

    Do not strain as saffron threads will continue to infuse into syrup.

    Bottle and refrigerate.
