Pineapple Saffron Martini

- 1 1/2 oz. premium vodka
- 2 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
- 1 oz. saffron syrup (see below)
- 3/4 oz. lemon juice
- 1 dash dandelion bitters
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 1/16 tsp. saffron threads
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.

2Top with ice and shake vigorously.

3Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

4Garnish with a few saffron threads.

5Saffron syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.

6Heat over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

7Add about saffron threads.

8Continue heating for about 5 minutes.

9Take off heat and let cool.

10Do not strain as saffron threads will continue to infuse into syrup.

11Bottle and refrigerate.
