Pineapple Salad

  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 large Cool Whip
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 envelope Knox gelatine
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 10 to 12 maraschino cherries, chopped fine (optional)

Directions

    Heat pineapple and sugar; bring to a boil.

    Dissolve gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water.

    Add slowly to mixture.
  4. 4
    Add cream cheese. Stir in until it is dissolved.

    Remove from heat and cool.

    Fold in Cool Whip and maraschino cherries.

    Pour into a mold and refrigerate until set for several hours.
