  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 can (1-1/4 lb.) crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 box (1 lb.) confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

    In a large mixing bowl, combine cake ingredients.

    Pour into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.

    Meanwhile, for icing, combine cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, butter and vanilla in a small mixing bowl.
