  • 2/3 c. milk, scalded and cooled to lukewarm
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 oz. yeast (1 cake)
  • 1 c. butter or oleo (oleo is good)
  • 2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
  • 3 beaten egg yolks
  • powdered sugar icing
  • ground nuts (sprinkled on top)

Directions

    Dissolve sugar and yeast in lukewarm milk and set aside.

    Sift flour and then measure.

    Add butter or oleo; mix like for pie crust.

    Add yeast and milk mixture to beaten egg yolks; mix well.
