  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1 box Jell-O instant vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • maraschino cherries
  • pineapple slices (or crushed)

Directions

    In a large bowl, combine cake mix, vanilla pudding, oil, water, vanilla and eggs.

    In a 13 x 9-inch baking dish; pour butter and brown sugar.

    Arrange pineapple and cherries atop sugar.

    Pour cake batter over cherries and pineapple.

    Bake at 350° just until cake rises; then lower to 300° to get even browning.
