Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 8 slices pineapple, drained
- yellow cake mix (mix according to pkg. directions) *
Directions

1Melt butter in large iron skillet.

2Sprinkle sugar over butter and arrange pineapple slices on sugar.

3(Place whole maraschino cherry in center of each pineapple slice, if desired, also can place pecan halves decoratively around pineapple slices, if desired.)

4Pour cake batter evenly over pineapple and bake at 350° until done.

5Let stand in skillet for 5 minutes.

6Then turn out on cake plate with pineapple side up.
