  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 egg whites
