- 2 c. dry pintos
- 6 c. water
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. sherry (cooking)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 lb. bulk sausage
- 1 c. sour cream
Directions

1Bring beans to boil.

2Stir in cooking sherry and soup mix, salt, Tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

3Reduce to simmer. Fry sausage, drain fat and add to beans.

4Simmer 4 to 6 hours. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water and blend into beans stirring until thickened.

5Add sour cream.

6Simmer until hot. Add cooking sherry to taste.

7Cook beans until tender and serve.
