- 2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. fat
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.

2Put shortening into flour mixture.

3Add milk to flour mixture.

4Stir quickly with a fork just enough to make a soft dough.

5Put dough on lightly floured board and knead 6 to 8 times, forming a ball.

6Roll dough 1/4-inch thick and cut with floured cutter.

7Place biscuits on baking sheet.

8Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.

9Makes 12 to 14 biscuits.
