- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 3 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream the butter.

2Add sugar gradually and cream until light. Stir in beaten eggs.

3Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.

4Stir in vanilla. Chill thoroughly.

5Roll out 1/3-inch thick on lightly floured surface.

6Cut with flour cutter.

7Fry in hot deep fat (375°) until brown.

8Turn over once.

9Makes about 3 dozen.
