Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 5 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder (omit if using self-rising flour)

Directions

    Mix all above ingredients.

    Roll out and cut out or make little balls and flatten with a glass dipped in flour.

    Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

    Cake will not brown, but will be crisp when cool.
