- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 c. sliced fresh red plums (7 to 8 large)
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt.

3Beat in milk and oil until smooth.

4Pour into ungreased square pan, 8 x 8 x 2-inches.

5Top with plums.

6Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over plums.

7Pour boiling water on plums. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

8Serve warm and, if desired, with sweetened whipped cream.
