  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup Sifted Unbleached Flour
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 12 Purple Plums, halved and pitted
  • Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbs Cinnamon and sugar

    - cream butter and sugar

    - add flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, beat well

    - spoon into 9 inch pan

    - place the plum halves, skin side up, on top of batter

    - sprinkle plums with sugar and lemon juice

    - sprinkle cinnamon

    - bake 350, 1 hour or until done
