  • 1 lb. Polish sausage or smoked sausage
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans chopped sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. water

Directions

    Brown Polish sausage in oil in a large iron skillet or Dutch oven. Add sauerkraut, sugar and water to sausage.

    Add potatoes and bay leaf.

    Cover and simmer until potatoes are done. Serve with cornbread and salad.

    A complete meal.
