  • 2 1/2 c. dried apples, cooked until juicy, or 1 qt. applesauce
  • 4 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. each: nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and allspice
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 to 2 c. nuts

Directions

    Mix all together and bake at 350° in a floured angel food cake pan or Bundt pan.
